1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ForkOff (“the Service”), operated by Unhinged Labs, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we”, “us”, or “the Company”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ForkOff provides a mobile application and command-line interface (CLI) that enables users to remotely approve and monitor AI-assisted development operations. The Service facilitates communication between your mobile device and computers running the ForkOff CLI.

By installing and using ForkOff, you acknowledge that:

  • You are knowingly initiating remote control of Claude Code sessions on your own device(s)
  • ForkOff acts solely as a remote connector between your mobile device and your computer — it relays commands and responses but does not host, store, generate, modify, or execute AI prompts itself
  • The Service includes an “Unrestricted Mode” option that, when enabled, runs Claude Code with the --dangerously-skip-permissions flag, bypassing the default permission approval flow
  • Enabling Unrestricted Mode is entirely at your discretion and risk

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes
  • Maintain the security of your paired devices
  • Not attempt to circumvent security features
  • Not use the Service to interfere with others' use
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Prompt and Command Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all prompts, commands, and instructions you send to Claude Code through ForkOff. ForkOff is a remote connector — it transmits your inputs to your paired device but does not control, filter, or take responsibility for the content of those inputs or the resulting AI-generated outputs and actions. Any consequences arising from prompts you send — including but not limited to file modifications, command executions, and code changes — are your sole responsibility.

Unrestricted Mode: If you choose to enable Unrestricted Mode, you acknowledge that Claude Code will operate without its default permission safeguards. This means AI operations (file writes, command execution, etc.) will proceed without individual approval prompts. You accept full responsibility for any actions taken by Claude Code while Unrestricted Mode is enabled.

4. Privacy and Data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. ForkOff uses end-to-end encryption for all communications between your devices. We do not access, store, or process your code.

5. Open Source & Access

ForkOff is transitioning to a fully open source model. Starting with the next release:

  • All features are available to every user at no cost
  • Existing users receive lifetime Pro access as a thank you for early support
  • The source code for the app, CLI, and backend will be publicly available
  • There are no paid subscription tiers

6. Intellectual Property & Open Source License

ForkOff is open source software released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software, subject to the terms of the MIT License.

The ForkOff name and logo are trademarks of Unhinged Labs, Inc. While the source code is freely available, use of the ForkOff brand requires permission.

You retain all rights to your own code and data. We claim no ownership over content you create or manage using the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

FORKOFF IS A REMOTE CONNECTOR TOOL. WE DO NOT CONTROL, ENDORSE, OR ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY AI-GENERATED OUTPUT, CODE MODIFICATIONS, OR COMMAND EXECUTIONS THAT RESULT FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. THE PROMPTS YOU SEND AND THE ACTIONS THEY TRIGGER ARE ENTIRELY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UNHINGED LABS, INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
